GNOME 3 Network Problem eMachines Netbook

The title pretty much says it all. I'm running Fedora 15 and the wireless network runs just fine in KDE. As soon as I jump over to GNOME it finds available networks, but as soon as I try to click on my network it just shuts down "Network Settings" with nothing accomplished.

Since I work from home and I'm a self-employed web content writer, having Internet access is a must. I prefer GNOME because I love keyboard shortcuts and I've found the ones that GNOME uses to be very useful. If I need to post some information in the forums for you to figure out what's wrong, just give me the steps. Any help you can offer would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
William

Re: GNOME 3 Network Problem eMachines Netbook

SOLVED !
First of all, I installed packagekit-gtk3-module and now I get no message like "failed to load pk-gtk-module".
Second, I connected by wire and get newst updates and since now everything works well.

Re: GNOME 3 Network Problem eMachines Netbook

Great news! I was finally able to get it to work on my machine. I had to update to Fedora 16 Beta. Since that didn't go smoothly I had to switch over to GRUB2 to get the newer kernel to boot up. Then run all the updates and GNOME works with wireless Internet. So now we have 2 solutions, and hopefully this means that everyone's problem will go away once Fedora 16 is in place.

Thanks for your help!
