F16 - Restore plymouth after catalyst 11.11 install

Hi there,

I've just installed ATI proprietary drivers and they seem to be working averagely. No a big issue, but I'd like to get back to the original Plymouth boot screen, with the Fedora logo filling slowly and access to boot messages in hi-res through the ESC key. I get the three coloured progress bar instead.
How can I do that?
I've found many threads about this topic but none refers to the specific combination I'm using;

It is not supported with propritary drivers. Either use opensource drivers with plymouth or amds closedsource without

You may be able to get it back by adding vga=... to your kernel boot entry. Typically after installing the nvidia drivers I add vga=795 to get the nice plymouth boot screen.
