Re: install eclipse pdt

I am not an eclipse user. I searched for the rpm package you specified by that exact name and the only one I found is distributed by OpenSuSE. I looked at the contents of that package and there is no "executable" or "menu item" in it. It appears to me to be a "plugin" package for eclipse.

All files in the package are installed to /usr/share/eclipse/dropins/features and /usr/share/eclipse/dropins/plugins/

Re: install eclipse pdt

Fedora has gobs of eclipse packages in the regular repos. Maybe one of those in Fedora provides the same functionality as the eclipse-pdt package you installed. From a command line, do:
Code:
yum list eclipse*
to see what is available from Fedora. Then to get info about any package you see in the list, just do:
Code:
yum info packagename

When you typed "sudo yum install" what?
For starters, I would do:
Code:
sudo package-cleanup --cleandupes
