Toshiba Laptop Alps TouchPad not moving mouse pointer

I am using a Toshiba Laptop and have an Alps TouchPad. I am running Fedora 16 KDE.

I installed Fedora from the download on the website after making a cd. Everything seemed to be ok. I installed all the latest updates and then for some reason or another the TouchPad will not work.

I mean it will not allow me to move the mouse pointer on the screen at all.

I mouse plugged in works great.

Thoughts? I am a newbie to Linux.
