Hello. Well my sound card built into my motherboard died I guess. Was working fine. Shutdown, removed nic and rebooted and no sound. Tried everything and cannot get toslink to run. Tried with regular headphones and still dead.
So, Im looking for a recomendation for a good sound card with a optical out (toslink) hopefully not too expensive. But sure would like a recomendation from someone please.
Ill keep searching the forums too as Im sure Im not the only one that has asked.
thanks,
coffee

Ok, Bought this vantec model UGT-S110 sound card. Not real expensive. Has optical out. PCIe slot. Shoved it in and linux picked it up immediately!
