Gnome-Shell issues.... i think
Hello,
So im having some issues that are becoming progressively more annoying. About two weeks ago i lost my battery indicator that is located in the tray. I didnt even realize it at first. Its seems as if that is the least of my issues. I also found out that my computer no longer suspends when it is shut [found out the hard way, shut it and put it in my case and then into my bag, two hours later the bag was hot (-_-) ] I have install gnome-tweak-tools in order to easily see all of the configurations and aparently nothing has changed. It is still set to suspend when the lid is shut. I guess what im wondering is, why the heck is it doing this?
I have installed XFCE to verify that its not an issue with the kernel not recognizing my hardware, and under XFCE i can suspend on the lid being closed.
I have tried reinstalling gnome-shell and no dice. Any suggestions?
EDIT: Another fun side effect i have just found is my inability to dim the screen with the buttons. I am using a thinkpad T420. I tried reinstalling bash as other have suggested, but still no dice.
Regards,
James
