XBMC Media Center on Fedora 16

Built a new media center PC 3 months ago and was trying all Distros to get one to work. Did not realize how easy it would be with Fedora 16. Everything just worked.

1. Install Fedora 16 (TV as monitor via HDMI)
2. yum install xmbc
3. Log out and back in, selecting XBMC desktop environment
4. Set up xbmc remote on Android phone
5. Enjoy

I was too busy over-thinking things and making it way more complicated. Congratz to Fedora team for the best distro to date. Simplest install ever.

Another thing to try is vortexbox, it's a Fedora based distribution that already has XBMC in it. It's a distro specifically made for multimedia

Has anyone had difficulty setting up the Event Server in XBMC? Screenshots show a menu to configure it but when I go to network settings, no such menu exists.
