FC16: how to save the screen configuration in KDE/Gnome?

OK, this is something that worked in my FC10, but not in FC16 (guess it's only me who has forgotten stuff):

The apps that were opened on logoff (xterms, xemacs, firefox) open again in the same configuration (size, positions) on a new login.

What do I have to do in both KDE and Gnome to enable that?

Well, it fixed itself under KDE, no idea about Gnome though.

Run gnome-session-properties, go to the Options tab, and check "Automatically remember running applications when logging out".
