I've had TWO issues where I needed to get back partitions that were deleted, both times it was my BACKUPS. What I used was TESTDISK, it's a bit confusing at first but you'll easy get it. There are guides on the internet, too.
I must say though, it would help if you knew what you were looking for, especially if you have to do a DEEP SCAN, as this will pull up EVERYTHING that can be pulled up that was ever on that disk. But even a LITTLE info on it will help.
Also, this may NOT be the safest (you can actually mess things up worse if not careful) but it sure is one that WILL WORK!
