GeForce 7300 GT Problem (Needing Hardware Analysis Tools)

Hi All,

mi computer has crashed very often after booting the OS (I'm running Fedora 15 - Gnome - Intel Core2Duo - 3.0.17-1.rt33.1.fc15.ccrma.i686.rt / the problem is with every kernel i'm using, not only RealTime).
When Starting the computer, the motherboard (Asus P5GC-MX/1333) screen shows vertical lines (when i saw them i knew they where "problematic" lines), but when it shows the loading screen of the OS the lines are gone. After that everything become black and i can't do anything about it.
Because of the lines i tough it could be the graphic card, so i disconnect it. Right know i'm tipping and my machine is working without problems (for almost 5 hours).

i'm trying to:

1st check my graphic card (and see if there's anything wrong and what is it)
2nd find out if there's another problem (maybe is not only the graphic card)
3rd any possible way of get trough this in any other way

I have one of those same nvidia cards (a 7300GT) and had similar issues when the fan went out on it. (Just about every nvidia card I have purchased in the past 10 years or so has had crappy fans)

After replacing the fan with a better one, I haven't had any issues with it.

Not saying your problem is the same, but just giving you a known issue to check out

i will try a new fan then, thanks for your reply
i'm also interested in learning how to manage this situations, so i will try to find command line tools for cheking hardware status (if anyone knows about this, or where to find them i would really appreciate it).
