kernel 3.3 fail - removal question

When removing a kernel, what all should be removed with it?

I remove the kernel & the kernel tools, is there something I missed? - or would it matter?
I don't want to least something that may cause troubles...

Thanks

Re: kernel 3.3 fail - removal question

If it's from a fedora rpm, then just use yum erase kernel-...

If it's a kernel you installed then ....
Code:
DISTRO="3.3.0" # or whatever
    grubby --remove-kernel=/boot/vmlinuz-$DISTRO
    rm -rf /lib/modules/$DISTRO
    rm -f /boot/vmlinuz-$DISTRO  /boot/initramfs-$DISTRO.img  \
          /boot/System.map-$DISTRO

Re: kernel 3.3 fail - removal question

I guess I should have made it a bit clearer. It was from the resent update.

I already did a YUM REMOVE [the kernel], YUM REMOVE [the kernel tools] & YUM REMOVE [devel] ( [ ] info taken from the log)
so the question remains, did I get it all or does it matter? (not seeing any more in log, but could be overlooking something)
