Side panel problem in KDE

I have set up an additional panel on the left side of the desktop. Settings are 'auto-hide', alignment 'center' and widgets are locked.

I have put launchers for my favorite apps on this panel. Everything is fine untill I shut down. But when I restart next time, all my quick launchers are piled one on top of another at the top of the panel. What could be causing this to happen?

Thanks,

Niko
