What Scanners work well with FC16~URGENT

Hi

I need to get a legal document back to my lawyer, and I'm in deep doo- doo if I cant scan a signed document and return it back as an attactment.
I think my epson V350 may be dead.
What scanner work well with FC16 that I should be able to get quickly in the UK,
Currys, PC world etc


The doo doo is really deep, help

here is a list of supported scanners listed by manufacturer name.

I would stay away from Canon since they have a "reputation" for not supporting linux, and have actively blocked linux development of their drivers in the past.

Thanksx [I]'m aware of that list, but I really liked to knowwhat works on this distro FC16

I know there are some that have problems since kernel 3 was released, thats what I want to avoid..

I setup Epson V300 to work sometime ago. It works very well - on both Fedora 16 and on Scientific Linux 6.2

Grab an HP. I have an all-in-one OfficeJet and Photosmart. Scanning across my network is nice, usb & sd card slots are slick, and nicest of all: a pc is optional. Just don't buy the cheaper officejet. Both the 954xl and 920xl ink cartridges (you'll need to buy them) are scary easy to refill.

Late edit: You'll probably want the officejet because of its forum feeder. The photosmart's bed is small for legal sized.

Late Late edit: There we go. I have an old officeject 6500 and a photosmart 6380. The officejet is slick for fax/scan/doc but sucks for printing pics.

Thanks for the HP info, I'll bear that in mind.

I did get the old V350 to work, but it would play on winXP either.
I expect it to die again , next time no resurection.
Got the docs to the lawyer in time for court in thre morning

I have used Epson Perfections, 1200, 1600, and the 1650
They worked for me and you can sometimes find them on CraigsList for $10-$20
They don't give you the highest quality scan.

The 1650 was a bit of a problem, I had to edit some file in /etc/sane.d to get it going but work fine after that.
