Problems starting flash in firefox

Hi,

On my Fedora laptop, when I try to load web pages with flash, firefox hangs and spits out these error messages repeatedly:

*** NSPlugin Wrapper *** ERROR: failed to initialize plugin-side RPC client connection
*** NSPlugin Wrapper *** WARNING../src/npw-wrapper.c:3160):invoke_NP_Initialize: assertion failed: (rpc_method_invoke_possible(g_rpc_connection))
*** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied
*** NSPlugin Viewer *** ERROR: /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/libflashplayer.so: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied

I've seen this before many times. Does anyone know why this suddenly starts to occur and how to fix it?

Are you using 64bit Fedora? The NSPlugin Wrapper makes me think so. If so I think that may be the cause of the issue.

There is 64-bit flash player available with adobe if you are using a 64-bit operating system - which should be the case since you are using nspluginwrapper.

This, I believe, is a known bug - Bug report.
