Swapped video card now Fedora hangs at boot

I bought a new nVidia card, to replace my old nVidia card, and put it in my computer. Now when I boot Fedora 13 it doesnt give any errors but just hangs at boot. (I dont think it finishes the boot process either)

Does anybody know of a solution to this problem or what the problem could be?

You haven't posted any relevant info

1. kernel version post

uname -r

2. what model video card?
3. what nvidia driver version?

I cant really get to any of that information since my system wont boot.
The version of the kernel I'm booting is 2.6.34.8-68.fc13.x86_64 from my GRUB screen. I cant get into the OS at all to run any of the commands you posted.
The model of video card is a Geforce GTX 550 Ti.

How far does it get n the boot process? Do you get a blue bar going across the bottom?

If your using the rpmfusion driver for f13 it probably doesn't support your new card.

It boots to a full or almost full Fedora logo and then just sits there. I wonder if there's anything I can do to just get in the OS and uninstall the nVidia rpm and go back to the basic driver.
It is the Fedora logo, not the blue bar.

You should be able to switch to a VT and work from there. Try CTRL/ALT/F2 and see if you get a login prompt.

Add 1 to the kernel line at bootup (edit grub), then run

yum -C erase *\nvidia\* livna\*
rm -f /etc/X11/xorg.conf
reboot

Thanks Yellowman, that worked.

My only problem now is that my desktop effects are enabled by default and the screen is just white now.
Anybody know of a way I can edit my startup programs. I say that because it's an add-on I use for desktop effects and I have it in the startup programs of the OS.
It's the one that does all the cool cube effects and window effects... I forgot the name of it cause it's been forever since I've seen it. Any ideas?

Edit:
I fixed it.. just uninstalled it with yum remove ccsm
My resolution settings only Max out at 800x600 now and I need something to at least get me to a decent resolution... any ideas?

Edit 2: Nevermind, I fixed that as well by installing the latest nVidia drivers directly off of nVidia's website. Thanks everybody.
