I just plugged my Creative Flash (Muvo 128) drive into my usb port and it was picked up as Flash Device. And it auto mounted when I double clicked on it in my Computer link. I never tried it before I read this post. surprised me it picked it up.

BTW. b4 I found it in my COMPUTER link I went to add it with webmin (win95 vfat filesytem) and it said the drive was already busy.

thumb drive

Look in your hardware browser under hard drives.

All of my usb drives show up there.

I got several of my usb hard drives to work by...

Open a Terminal then SU to ROOT

CD to MNT then MKDIR ( name of drive)....like (cruzer)?

Then GEDIT /etc/fstab

Then add a line to look like this:

/dev/sdc1 /mnt/backpack auto noauto,users,noatime,async

Depending what your hardware browser said your dev was ok?

make sure you save it!

I hope this helps
