xp emulator

i have xp as my main partition and fedora 3 on another partition on teh same hdd.
i would like to run that windows xp in fedora 3. that way i can still play my xp games and things like that without actually haveing to go into xp.

what are some good emulators to try for what i'm looking for ? any suggestions ?

i have tryed wine however it isn't what i'm looking for.

There are VMware 5 (Beta) XP & Linux versions.

However, I had a problem with this Maybe you'll get it right
I tried to use both XP & Linux versions it seems like it wants to install a whatever Guest system from the scratch. I wasn't able to figure out how to point any of them to existing system. Anyways, it's still beta versions so don't expect much.

it seems like when i try to use wine to open games from my ntfs partitions (which i have mounted)
i get errors saying its write protected how do i turn this off ?

The linux kernel does not yet support writing to ntfs partitions. Thus, any mounted ntfs partitions must be mounted read-only.
