Run X application as other user..

Here's my problem - I'm running VMware on my FC3 box - VMware needs to be run as root (it appears) but I'd prefer not being logged in as root all the time. Is there anyway that I can login as a regular user and run vmware as root ?

I have VMWare 4.5 running on my Fedora box and can run the VM using a regular account. Do you install with any non-standard parameters? What is the error you get when you run as a regular user?

Check the permissions on the the directory and files containing the drive image(s). If you set them to be owned by the user, you should be able to run VMWare as that user.
