Ut2004 DVD(Yes, I have searched and tried)

I just got ut2004 dvd and cant install it. I've tried many guides including this:

http://www.easylinuxguide.com/index....83b4c3d9feca2c

I've searched through posts and tried many different things to no avail. I've tried running the installer as root, as the user and copying it to my harddrive. Nothing
This is my error:

UZ2: Failed to fully write [/usr/local/games/ut2004/Textures/X_CliffTest.utx]!
./setup.sh: line 148: 8964 Aborted "$setup" "$@"

Please if anyone could help, very much appreciated.

I had this exact problem, the only solution that worked for me was to get a copy of the brand new version of it (game of the year edition or something) and install from that. The .utx errors mean linux can't deal with the texture files. There is no fix, no workaround. You need to find a new version of the media. Sorry, linux support is quite bad for it.
