install for source problem. wont "make" install file

Hello fedora community-

I am trying to complie a program from source and am running into a slight problem...

After download qtparted in source form, I extracted the contents and navagated to that directory, ran the configure scrpit, everything appears have check out. But when tring to do the make for the make install, I get an error telling me: "no targets specified and no makefile found"

I thought that was the job of the scripts???

After reading more, more, more crap about this os I find that not all packages can be installed from source... meaning that dependences are not fulfilled. I guess they write it off as a bug. Pretty lame. Damn why don’t they agree on a standard package format (rpm would be nice). I guess that would mean only one distro though.
