Eclipse & Netbeans Software Update Error

Hi,

Just installed FC4. Also installed J2sdk1.4.2_08, Eclipse 3.1 and Netbeans 4.1. When i try to update or install new features in eclipse using the find and install feature, Eclipse gives the error "network connection problems encountered during search" and the details of the error are

Network connection problems encountered during search.
Unable to access "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0".
Unable to access site: "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0" [java.io.IOException]
Unable to access site: "http://update.eclipse.org/updates/3.0" [java.io.IOException]
Unable to access "http://eclipseme.org/updates/".
Unable to access site: "http://eclipseme.org/updates/" [java.io.IOException]
Unable to access site: "http://eclipseme.org/updates/" [java.io.IOException]

Even Netbeans cannot be updated using the similar update feature.

btw, all the other applications accesing the internet (eg. mozilla, real player gold) work fine and without any proxy settings. The linux firewall is also completely disabled.
Any help is highly appreciated.

Hey people,

Finally after a full night of experimentating, found out that none of my java application requiring connection to the internet were working. And the solution was turning off the Security in Fedora... Just disable SELinux and then the apps start working again
