Need help with VMWare Tools

Hey guys,

First time playing with Fedora4 and a bit confused. I am trying to install the VMWare tools onto Fedora4, it asks for the c header files so I did this:

yum install kernel-devel

Tried running the VMWare tools config again and it still says it can't find the header files. Any thoughts? I tried looking for the headers but don't seem to be in the normal places. Oh, I tried this as well

yum install kernel-source [not found]
yum install kernel-sourcecode [not found]

To install - you need these things

yum install gcc* (get everything gcc releated)
yum install kernel-devel (get the kernel source)

install vmware workstation 5.

get the patch from this website.

vmware-any-any-update93.tar.gz 19-Jul-2005 00:10 269k

install vmware, then run the patch

then reboot

should work fine.

VMWARE tools specificly are basicly installed thru windows. just click the "install" while windows is running and it'll popup.
