Making DVD from VOB file

I have a VOB file -- mplayer plays it fine with video and audio. I need to produce a normal DVD from this file. I've been reading dozens of tutorials from the Net, but nothing seems to work quite right... Using dvdauthor naively (dvdauthor -o attempt FILE.VOB) produces a filestructure that is missing some files needed by mkisofs -dvd-video, but I can't seem to figure out how to get the filestructure right... What do I need to do?
