Error informing the kernel about modification to partition /dev/hda3
I downloaded FC4, sum sh1 was ok, Media test was ok.
I tried to install on Desktop and laptop, I received this error message:
"Error informing the kernel about modification to partition /dev/hda3- Device or resource busy. This means Linux won’t know about any changes you made to /dev/hda3 until you reboot – so you should not mount it or use it in any way before rebooting".
Note: /dev/hda3 in my case is root (/).
I found many links for the same error message (was not helpful for me).

http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/b...8/msg00111.html
I can reach up to the process of "Begin installation", and it hang there. Some time I received that error message, some time it is just hanging.

Well, the fedora partitioning error article says it's a because you're trying to partition your harddisk during setup. So do you create new partitions during the installation? You must not, otherwise you'll get this error.
Have you tried without creating new partitions?

I created partitions by using partition commander utilitynot FC4 CD1

I do not remember ,,,because I have tried many scenarios.
The link that you refer me to it :
First partition your harddisk with a
linux system rescue CD, then
Does it mean rescue CD which is belong to FC4 or can be any other ?
Though when you click the "linux system rescue CD" it directed you to another URL which is not related to what he meant
