DVD playback

Hi,

I added the rpm.livna.org repository and installed gstreamer*, libdvd*, etc but when I attempt to play dvds in totem, it either freezes the application or it closes itself.. Does anyone know the problem? I'd prefer not to install additional applications such as MPlayer or whatever, I'd just like to know how to get totem to play them..

Thanks..

EDIT: Sorry forgot to say that DMA is enabled so it's not that..

I know you said you prefer not to install a new package, but I highly recommend Xine (from freshrpms) for viewing DVDs. It's menu-aware and plays DVDs exactly as you see them on your television. It's easy to install (yum install xine).

totem cannot play dvds but totem-xine can
with xine in order to play dvds you need libdvdcss, livna has it so,
yum install libdvdcss

Ok I removed totem and installed totem-xine, why does it install a webcam utility with it?!

EDIT: Also, now when I double click mpeg files it doesn't launch totem
