You could create a text file called /etc/modprobe.d/dvb-bt8xx.conf

And in the text file simply put "dvb-bt8xx" (without the quotations)

Here are the settings I am entering, what could the issue be. The terminal doesn't spit out any errors when I hit login, nothing happens.

That's odd,
It works behind sudo as root (when sudo is obviously pointless).
But not as my user, which is an adminstrator account.
Could there be any permissions?
Any groups I might need to add...

Hmm seems to be the case that it doesn't work using sudo, will have to get used to sudo -s rather than prefixing every command with sudo.

The akmod option sounds good.

I have tried the previous kernels. My biggest problem now is this Emergency mode preventing me from doing anything... at all. Ctrl -D doesnt skip it, logging in and...

Well actually it seems that the emergency mode refuses to do anything with the error "Failed to issue method call: Transaction is destructive", and kicks me back out to the emergency mode login.

akmod-nvidia? does this use dkms or work in the same way.

Also I am now perpetually stuck in emergency mode with no networking, where I seemingly can't do anything at all.
How do I get out of...

I am also getting this problem, I presume the reason for this is an updated kernel, combined with packages from rpmfusion which have not been rebuilt for the current kernel.
I only installed fedora...
