You need to partition manually, assuming that's possible.
If you don't know, then post a screen of the partitions in gparted

I usually partition my HD with Parted Magic - then install...whatever
I keep a USB of that handy all the time

TBH, the fedora partitioner is far from being what I would describe as good.

All I can say is I never: let this do anything. Manually control everything all the way
I don't use LVM either

Imagewriter is installed in Mint by default
Unless perhaps you have some cruddy OLD install?

The NET install went fine BTW
There are issues with the file manager and copying files from a USB pen drive, where the file manager totally just crashes. But I don't have time to work on it right...

Have you been able to verify the the DVD?
Can you boot it in a different machine if you have access to one?

Are you sure the CD / DVD is bootable/burned correctly? Or is it a retail product?
Have you tried booting it on another machine?

Check your BIOS again and make sure you don't also have to press...
