I too have lost the auto mount for my NAS under both Fedora 27 Beta with kernel 4.13.4 and Fedora 26 with kernel 4.13.4. If I boot either to a previous kernel the auto mount works.

Boot to a command prompt, login as root and do what you have to do. Reboot.

Or, while this nonsense is happening, are you able to switch to a VT using CTRL/ALT/F# ??? If so, login as root there...

I think that the best place to start would be by showing us the current partition layout of your hard disk, assuming one hard disk.
As root or with admin permissions:
fdisk -l /dev/sda

In my humble opinion fastestmirror just slows things down. It sits there while "determining fastest mirror", several times, so I've given up on it. What I've been doing, and it seems to be working...

On a desktop machine, Fedora 26 LXDE. Historically Fedora / LXDE has had very fast boot times for me on this machine. 10 seconds to the login prompt.
