httpd locale settings

i have problems viewing some characters in webpages, characters like åäö (swedish)
i have tried to set httpd_lang to sv_SE in /etc/sysconfig/httpd but that does not help.
Anywhere else i can change locale ?

Change the ISO-8859-1 to your locale's set. Just remember to ensure that your editor's encoding matches the set encoding on the HTML pages. I'd recommend using UTF-8.

Alternatively, use W3C character entity types instead of typed Scandinavian characters, W3C list at: http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/sgml/entities.html and in somewhat more pleasing way: http://www.digitalmediaminute.com/re...tity/index.php
