software update hanng

New install of Fedora 16 KDE. Software update hangs at 40% saying "waiting for other service to start"...

I think you got past this as stated in another thread, but if not, run yum from a terminal and then go back to the GUI. PackageKit can get in the way too. If it's checking for updates it will interfere with command libe yum or the GUI package installers. That you should probably just wait out. Sometimes it takes a good 3-5 minutes to finish.
