F16 KDE Kickoff Application Starter

For the life of me I can't get KDE Kickoff Application Starter to save programs icons in the drop-down Menu when I add some 'new' proprietary software. . . I.e. (I've tried to put the launcher icons for 'Autopanopro' and 'LightZone' ) under the Graphics section and save them. After several attempts installing and saving the executable files and paths and the startup icons they still don't show up in the Kickoff app starter menu. When I type their names in at the bottom in the search area I am taken to the file and icon.png somewhere other than in the section I've save them in. I've gone down the menu list from top to bottom in the Kicker and these programs can't be found anywhere and neither the Icons seen. . . .

Any help would be appreciated in fixing this. . . .BTW it worked in F15 KDE. . . following the save procedural steps. . . .
