extended partition problems

Hi all,

Installed fedora onto a partition of my hard drive. My 2 partitions for storage (with Win XP)were extended partitions now they are recorded as 1 partition with no filesystem in Fedora and Partition Magic 1 partition aswell. Any help would be gladly recieved.

Confused on what you have in your post. Post your partition table. This might help to understand what you want.
Note: don't use Partition Magic to create a partition for linux to use. Just leave as free space. Shrink your XP if that is what you did and leave the rest as free space. Let FC create the patitions it uses.

Ok thanks for that, friend reckons that I might have lost my partition table.

Below is a rough division of my 250GB hard disk. All except for the 175Gb are logical partitions.

45GB Win Xp
500mb Linux Swap
20GB Fedora
about 175Gb was 2 partitions
