Post on first install exec of anaconda failed error

I am trying to install fedora core on a blank spare PC, No prev Linux Exp - but used unix 30 yrs ago - install from CDrom - ISO image Csum OK - After a few seconds I get an error message 'exec of anaconda failed: No such file or directoryinstall exited abnormally'
then the system goes through shutdown. Any ideas - or do I have to crawl back to Mr Gates? { iso image disk 1 downloaded from http://linuxiso.org/distro.php?distro=64 }

Regards, BillCo.
