Question macro recorder/playback or gnome/X automation tool

I know -- not strictly a fedora thing but maybe someone here knows....

I use AutoHotkey -- http://www.autohotkey.com/ -- to automate some stuff on some WinXP boxes i have to use.

AutoHotkey supports is a simple macro language where you can pretty much automate all sorts of UI tasks (vanilla XP stuff and application stuff too.....)

I need something like this for FC7 (Gnome). Some google bombs and related searches have NOT turned up much, except for this http://sourceforge.net/projects/jwmodgen/ (JW_Record_Playback ).....

what else is out there?
