Gnome Volume control applet

in FC4 I was used to have a volume control applet at the gnome panel. Since I updated to FC5, this applet has vanished - I only can use the gnome-volume-control, which needs some time to start a window instead of just showing a slide control.
Whats the name of the previous mentioned applet and how do I activate it?

regards Jürgen
