Hi Fedorian's,

i have now installed my Fedora Core 6. I am at Fedora since Fedora 2. I install
every version on an fresh formatted partition cos i don't like the mixup between versions.
All went good. But to do this and of less harddisk space i had to resize my Fedora 5
partition to install Fedora 6 on a new clean partition.

I have an 160 GB hard disk which had about 120 GB linux partitions. / (root), /boot, and swap.
This harddisk i resized to about 83 GB. And used the rest for Fedora Core 6 installation.

I could mount the partition where i left my data which is /dev/hda6 into the new FC6 System.
But as root i had only a short time to write/remove data on this partition. So i thought it is because
i have not mounted it not right. The other thing was i want to use this space again for FC6.

So i use es2flabel for renaming the partition to /home2. Used in fstab the same for mounting.
But on restart i get the message i should login as root and do an manually fsck for the partition which
i made. But i get always the same numbers of inodes with this message. It's an endless cycle.
It starts automatically again from the beginning to repair the bad inodes.

badblocks did not give any bad block on my disk so the disk is ok.

How can i mount the partition again so that i can use it ?

How can i recover my data ?

Thanks in advance.
