Nothing in xorg.conf -- FC6 Live CD -- Any other way to view xorg.conf?

I'm using the live cd of FC6.

I'm trying to grab the information off the xorg.conf, but when i do cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf in the terminal, there's nothing their really. At least not the xorg.conf information I would be looking for.

Is there any other way to view the effective xorg.conf settings?

you could just as easily build a new xorg.conf.

to answer your question:
check in ~./xsession-errors . maybe something that helps.
