headphone jack problems

I'm running FC6 on my laptop, which has a VIA VT1708 sound card. My sound was not working at all so I installed the VT1708 drivers from http://www.viaarena.com/. Sound is now working out of the laptop speaker, but when I plug my headphones in I don't get any sound at all. I searched google, and these forums, but I could not find anything.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Ok stupid me I forgot to check the VIA forums

If anyone else has this problem just edit hda_codec.c, and change

if (get_defcfg_connect(def_conf)==AC_JACK_PORT_NONE && nid!=0x20)
this works fine for me, but there was another way to fix the problem. Just read it here if you want
