Can't save printing preferences in Windows using CUPS/Samba

Howdy folks,

I believe that this is the correct board to post to, if not, I extend my apologies to the moderators for the extra work.

Organizational wondering aside, I'm having a bit of a problem with my CUPS spools being shared by Samba to some Windows workstations.

The CUPS version is cups-1.3.7-2.fc8
TheSamba version is samba-3.0.30-0.fc8

Whenever I try to set the printing preferences in Windows for a CUPS printer (e.g. Changing the orientation from Portrait to Landscape, changing the tray, etc.) and click OK, the settings immediately reverse to their default state.
About the same time as I try to save these settings, these lines appear on the error_log file

D [31/Jul/2008:17:02:08 -0500] cupsdAcceptClient: skipping getpeercon()
D [31/Jul/2008:17:02:08 -0500] cupsdAcceptClient: 8 from localhost:631 (IPv4)
D [31/Jul/2008:17:02:08 -0500] cupsdReadClient: 8 POST / HTTP/1.1
D [31/Jul/2008:17:02:08 -0500] cupsdAuthorize: No authentication data provided.
D [31/Jul/2008:17:02:08 -0500] Get-Printer-Attributes ipp:///printers/hp8100_raw
D [31/Jul/2008:17:02:08 -0500] cupsdProcessIPPRequest: 8 status_code=0 (successful-ok)
D [31/Jul/2008:17:02:08 -0500] cupsdCloseClient: 8

If anyone has any ideas about the heck is going on around here, I'd love to hear from you.

Much Appreciated,

Oh yeah, everything works normally when I set the print queue up as a standard IPP printer, not going through samba. so it's looking like it's more than likely a samba issue.
