Display resolution incorrect

I loaded FC10, PC is Asus A7v with AMD1.25Ghz and Radeon 9800, using 1280X768 display.
Result is that display is stuck at 800X600. Loading FC9 gives me 1360X768 and runs Ok like that, but when fully updated FC9 reverts to 1204X768 with no option of higher resolution. Editting or deleting xorg.conf and then rebooting has no effect. Anything I can do to get 1280X768 please?
