How do I configure nVidia card in xorg.conf?

How do I configure nVidia card in xorg.conf? I have installed the latest nVidia driver in shell, however, in GUI Desktop environment, it still said "GeForce FX (generic)".

How do I configure nVidia card in xorg.conf?

I've never actually done this, but I'm considering doing it and have read up on it a little. The readme on the nvidia driver site talks about the specific changes you need to make in the xorg.conf file.

Here's the link: http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/L...629/README.txt

You want to read section 3, entitled "EDITING YOUR X CONFIG FILE"

Hope this helps...
