APC UPS too expensive - looking for alternate suggestions.

Hey All,

My current APC UPS (Back-UPS XS 900) has finally died. New batteries are not bringing it back from the dead. I have been using APC for my power backup for a long time because it *just works* with linux. But they are so expensive. Can anyone suggest a different brand that will work with Fedora?

I would prefer a brand that works with tools available via the Fedora repo (like apcupsd). But beggers can't be choosers. I'll consider anything that has a tool set that can be used to monitor for power outages and cleanly shut the system down.

Thanks for any suggestions!
