Linux can support multiple wireless interfaces at the same time, but it would be an unusual configuration.
I just meant my NM has multiple access point configurations defined. Like nearly all laptops, it has only one physical wireless set. I don't think I've even heard of a laptop sold with more than one wireless hardware, maybe special ones for network testing.

That is what NM seems to handle very well. The connect/disconnect/reconnect logic seems to work.
It used to handle multiple simultaneous interfaces well, but not since F14, at least not in my experience.
