Question SMB client?

I tested FC4.91

It workd well, but the SMB client (Samba) did not work. It stops with am massage like: SMB not supported by kernel.

Does any one know the reason why?

I use the same configuration in FC4, on the same computer. Im FC4 it works with out any problems.
I use KDE!
Many workstions and few servers running on Fedora or Scientific Linux professionally.
Using LINUX to do some scientific 3D-stuff.
